Hello – A warm welcome from AromAware. Now we are in chillier times here is some helpful hints on winter skin care – Always wear a moisturizer before going out to help protect you skin from being damaged. Moisturizer also helps to repair any damage from wind and rain. A good one to use this time of year is my dry/mature FACE CREAM its made with Rose which has excellent emollient, softening and hydrating properties which make it ideal for skin care, especially mature/dry/sensitive skins. Sandalwood which is soothing, and moisturizing It is also good for mature/dry/sensitive skins. Frankincense gives new life to ageing skin and helps to smooth out wrinkles – a real tonic for the skin. Calendula promotes healing and skin repair so is particularly good for this time of year. If you want something a bit lighter you can try my normal/combination FACE CREAM which has Geranium which helps to keep the skin supple and has a delightful aroma. Neroli helps to have a rejuvenating effect on the skin as it has an ability to stimulate the growth of healthy new cells. Lavender is valuable in skin care since it promotes growth of new cells and exerts a balancing action on the sebum. Apricot Kernel is light in texture making it very easily absorbed into the skin.
Hand Cream is also really important as this time of year our hands can become very dry, chapped and sore. It is a good idea to protect your hands by wearing gloves if you go out walking and Ideally putting on hand cream every time you wash your hands – I know this is not always practical, but the biggest way to help your hands is by putting hand cream on at night as you are getting into bed. That way its stays on your hand all night and gets absorbed into the skin. My HAND CREAM has Neroli which has a rejuvenating effect on the skin as it has an ability to stimulate the growth of healthy new cells. Geranium which helps to keep the skin supple and has a delightful aroma. Myrrh was used by the Egyptians in their skin care preparations for its therapeutic qualities. Sweet Almond Oil is an excellent emollient for chapped hands, a highly nutritious oil.
